MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE

(Received June 15, at 1.30 p.m.) Eric Newlauds was committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of William Duncombe The coroner said that the evidence did not support the more serious charge of murder. [Newlauds was originally charged with the murder of Duucombe, who was his brother-in-law. Tho latter was shot through the chest and killed instantly when, it was alleged, ho refused to fight a duel with rifles rear Mudgee.]
