WEDDING
BLYTH—TONER. The South Dunedin Presbyterian Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on February 27, the contracting parties being Evelyn' lyy, second daughter of Mr and Mrs T. loner, of St. Hilda, and John Rutherford, second sou of Mr and Mrs P. A. Blyth, of Win ton. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. A. M’Neur, of Milton, with Mr L. Adams at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a very becoming gown of ivory satin, cut on close-fitting lines, falling in full flares to form a train, finished with a niched hem. A handsomely embroidered veil was’.held in place by a band of orange blossom and a bouquet of cream roses and maidenhair fern completed a charming toilette. Miss Marjorie Toner, sister of the bride, was a very pretty bridesmaid, wearing a frock of pale pink lace, trimmed with stiffened net frills, T a large green picture hat, mittens, and shoes to tone, and a bouquet of pink roses. The duties ot best man were ably carried out by Mr George Pearson, of Balclutha, and Mr T Toner, jun., and Mr L. Wilson acted as ushers. During the signing of the register a solo was rendered by Miss M. Owens, of Mosgiel, who sang ‘ Thanks Be To God.’ After the ceremony a reception was held at the Bungalow Tea Rooms, where the guests, who numbered about seventy, were received by the bride’s mother, who wore a model ensemble of black crepe, relieved with blue and white, a straw hat m the same tonings, and carried a bouquet ot gold roses. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s anpther, who wore a mack and white suit in crinkly crepe, with a black and white straw hat, and earned a bouquet of red roses. After the breakfast about fifty young people were entertained at a dance, also held iu the Bungalow. Mr and Mrs Blyth later left on a motor tour of the lakes, the latter wearing a suit of brown and fawn diagonal tweed, brown felt hat, and snakeskin and bag. Their future home will be in Balclutha,
