SAILING, 8.2 (Jones) 1 Prince Pombal, 9.9 (Cook) 2 Cynical, 8.8. (M'Farlane) 3 Seven started. Won by a short neck, with half a length between second and third. Time, Imin 41}sec —a race record. ASCOT HANDICAP, HOSovs. 9f 50yds. AFTER MONEY. 8.2 (Pratt) 1 Hot Stuff, 6.9 (Ward) 2 Jovial Son, 6.7 (J. Britt) 3 Nine started, including Antique. Won by a length, with a length and a-half between second and third. Time, Imin 58sec. Wild Dove dead-heated for second in the second division of the Three and Four-year-old Handicap. Martian Chief was unplaced in the Flying Handicap.
