Tho Premier said that further reduction in taxation would be made as soon as financial circumstances permitted. The number of registered unemployed has been reduced below 89,000, compared with 115,000 a year ago The Auditor-General reported Unit the receipts from income tax. tho unemployment relief tax, tho wages tax, and the familv endowment tax fell by £4,700,000.
