OPERATION JUST IN TIME LONDON, September 25. (Received September 26, at 10 a.m.) Dr Shields said that Bradman’s condition is still causing anxiety. Ho had a restless day, but hopes are held for his ultimate recovery. Anxiety can only be expected, because the appendix was practically gangrenous. If it had been left until next morning there would have been a perforation, which would have resulted in peritonitis. CONDITION STILL SERIOUS LONDON, September 25.
