ITALIAN PRINCESS
BAPTISED IN TEMPORARY CHAPEL WATERS FROM TWO RIVERS USED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. ROME. September 25. (Received September 26, at 11.55 a.m.) The baby princess’s preliminary baptism took place in a temporary chapel adjoining her mother's bedroom. She was named Maria Pia Elena Elizabeth Marguerita Melina Mafalda Ludovica Tecla Gennaro. Cardinal Asceleti used water from the Jordan and the Piave, the latter river signifying victory to the Italians because of the victories on its banks against the Austrians in the Great War.
Tlie Queens of Italy and .Bulgaria and the Queen and Queen-Mother of Belgium arc attending the forma! christening on October 18. A member of British Royally is also expected. The King marked the occasion by a general amnesty, excepting political prisoners.
