LIBERALS GAIN TWO SEATS PreM Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. OTTAWA, September 21. The Liberals made a net gain of two seats in the House of Commons to-day, winning four out of five Federal byelections in Ontario. The Liberals gained Frontenac (Addington) and York North, and they retained Elgin West, Kenora, and Rainy River. The Conservatives retained Toronto East. The Conservatives now have 135 scats in the House, the Liberals ninety-two, and other parties seventeen, while one seat is vacant.
