THE DEFENCE STAFF
OFFICER FOR TRAINING IN ENGLAND [Pe'r United Pkbss Association'.! WELLINGTON, September 7. The Government has decided to despatch a New Zealand Defence officer to England for training, Captain Maxwell, of the Staff Corps of the Permanent Military Forces, having been selected to undergo a two years’ course at the Camberlcy Staff College. It is expected that he will leave on November 9by the Tamaroa. The Hon. J. G. Cobbo said that the course Captain Maxwell would undertake would embrace the study of the higher branches of the science of war, and it was designed also to qualify the officer in staff duties. Captain Clifton, of the New Zealand Staff Corps, at present at Camberley College, will complete his term there at the end of tin’s year.
