ROADS AND BRIDGES
DAMAGE AT LITTLE RIVER £9,000 [Pm United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, May. 16. it will require £9,000 to repair the damage to the roads and bridges on Banks Peninsula which were most severely affected hy the violent southerly storm and floods early this month. This was the estimate made by Air F. Langbein, district engineer in Canterbury for the Public Works Department, after an inspection of the area. Of this total, it is estimated that £7,000 is in Wairewa County and £2,000 in Akaroa County.
