EDGAR WALLACE'S ESTATE

CREDITORS PAID IN FULL CHILDREN TO GET FUTURE ROYALTIES Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 11. (Received May 12, at 1.5 p.m.) The late Mr Edgar Wallace’s creditors have been paid in full. The estate disclosed debts of £BI,OOO and assets of £IB,OOO. He bequeathed foursevenths of his copyrights to his widow and children. It was stated then that the irregularity of royalties coming in might mean delay. His widow died in 1933, leaving £6,981. The receiver administered the novelist’s estate. Ten racehorses realised £3,800. Following Chancery authorisation, a company has now been formed called Edgar Wallace Limited, the shareholder’s of which are the four children, two of whom are stfll at school. None has yet received a penny from the estate, but it, is anticipated that future royalties will provide for them.
