DUNEDIN FANCIERS’ CLUB
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In reading the columns of your Poultry Notes and Kennel Notes it seems there is some difference of opinion about tho Fanciers’ Club Show in June. It is a pity that this difference could not be cleared up, as it seems to be spreading in the fancy. I do not know whether I am correct when I say the Homing Pigeon Club first had a difference, which was not cleared up; then the Dunedin Kennel Club; and, lastly, I hear the Dunedin Canary Club has decided to give its patronage, including- specials, to the Oamaru Society. Surely something is amiss when this state of affairs, exists in a club of fifty years’ standing. In the interest of fanciers, could not the executive officers of the Fanciers’ Club, this being the mother club, call together all specialist clubs and try to get things working harmoniously, as it is to these smaller clubs it has to look for success at show time? Hoping to see this difference cleared up, as it is very misleading to fanciers, especially in the dog sections. —I am, etc., Unity is Sthength. May 12.
