An accident on the Oriental parade on the evening of August 26, when three , women were struck by a motor car from behind and knocked down, had a sequel in the Supreme Court today. when Airs Janet .Scott Beck, of Wellington, sought £940 8s 6d special and general damages from George Joseph Wake in, softgoods manufacturer, of Wellington, tiie driver or the car.

Mrs Beck alleged that the collision was due to the unskilful management and control by the defendant of his car.

After a' retirement of thirty-live minutes the jury returned with a verdict for the plaintiff, awarding £370 general and £l4O 8s 6d special damages. The Chief <1 ustice (Sir Michael Myers) said that in his view it was a very just verdict.
