The future of the Industries Research Institute was discussed at Leeds at a conference. Mr Neville Wright, scientific liaison officer, represented New Zealand. As the institute’s work, which includes the questions of sheep marking, wool packs, and wool weaving, is endangered by the loss of the annual grant of £2.000 through the lapse of the Empire Marketing Board, the conference discussed plans for approaching the dominion Governments tor assistance.
