Buckland made an incorrect statement when saying that “ only' a family from Raiatea Island would attempt fire walking.” As one who has lived in Fiji, I happen to know that several Fijians and several Indians, resident in Fiji, do the fire-walking ceremony many times a year.—l am, etc., S. R. T. Clarke. February 6.
