CHILDREN'S BEACH PARTY
A correspondent writes to ask why the Children’s Beach Party Committee did not give merry-go-round tickets to the children, as the proprietor had given twenty tickets for each day. The winners of the various races were given a chit entitling them to claim either a toy or a ride on the merry-go-round, hut when they asked for the latter they were told there were no tickets left. The writer alleges that the tickets were given to children whose mothers were on the committee, and whose fathers were in good positions.
