MAY VOTE THIS YEAR AUGUSTA (Me.), December 6. Maine’s constitutional convention to-day voted unanimously for repeal of the eighteenth amendment to the Federal constitution, but the State remains in its long-time dry statiis through a stringent prohibitory article to its constit#tion and companion statutes. . ,
The Legislature, now in special session, is expected to act on proposals for immediate regulated and controlled sale of hard liquor for “ medicinal and mechanical purposes and the arts ” permissable under the State prohibitory amendment.
