AMAZING RESULTS
CROPS GROWN BY ELECTRICITY LONDON, December 26. Scientific and agricultural experts were startled when Mr S. S. Nehru, an Indian, told them that he had secured amazing results by applying electric current to seeds and crops. Mr S. S. Nehru is a member of the Advisory Board of the Imperial Council of Agricultural Research. He was addressing the Royal Society of Arts. Mr Nehru explained that he began by injecting “ electrified air into the soil around plants, and so made the poorest soil nourishing. Later he said he found that even better results were achieved by burying a sheet of wire netting 6in below ground, and attaching it to the leadin of an ordinary wireless aerial. U Growth is quicker and , more luxuriant, and the plant is far more productive then,” he said.
