PENNANT BOWLING MATCHES
WOMEN EXCLUDED fP«t United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, November 27. A decision to exclude women members from pennant matches and from the management of the centre was arrived at by a meeting of the Christchurch Bowling Centre to-night. Several women’s clubs have been formed in Christchurch in the last two years. They play on the men’s greens, but arc not permitted to play on Saturday afternoons and are not allowed to share in the management of the clubs. The centre’s decision was really in anticipation of a possible demand by women to take a more active part in the game and its administration. At the centre meeting to-night delegates said they had no objection to women playing bowls, but did not want them in the men’s competitions.
