PUBLIC MEETING Convened by the mayor, who will preside, a meeting of citizens to discuss a public appeal for funds for the Young Men’s Christian Association will be held in the Council Chamber tomorrow, at 3.30 p.m. It is three years since a similar appeal was made, and in the interim civic service, has been carried out in the contribution to the unemployed problem especially . among the youths and boys of the city. A fine programme, embracing all phases or y.M.C.A activity, has been provided for all unemployed boys free, and large numbers have availed themselves of the facilities. The Dunedin Vocational Guidance Committee, in providing suitable work for unemployed boys and trirls,- is also centred m the building. To-morrow’s meeting will be addressed by Messrs P. R. Sargood, James Hogg, and the Rev. W. A. Hamblett.
