ROYAL DUNEDIN MALE CHOIR
The final rehearsal, held on Saturday, of the 182nd concert of the Royal Dunledin Male Choir was well attended, ijlho programme, in the mam, will consist of part songs by the choir. Ihe ’supporting artists are Miss Craynoi iPaape, Miss Ethel Wallace (violinist), |Mr John Kennedy (tenor), and Mr J. E R. Benton (bass), all of whom are well and favou/ably known. They will present popular contributions to music. •The choir items include songs from operas by Wagner and Humperdinck, 'an anthem, national and folk songs, a 'cantata bv Mendelssohn, and two sea 'shanties, Mr George Dunn and Mr J. (L Haggitt being the shantymen. A 'double quartet consisting of Messrs [James Thomson, James Simpson. Wililiam E. Mills, A. S. Blake, C.S. Hawes, .George Salmond, A. J. Downing, and J. !A. Haggitt will be heard m The Sons of Art.’ Two new numbers will be presented, one of which will be a scene from ‘ The Miracle/ with Dr Galway At the organ, which a choir of thirty ladies of the Grand Opera Club, under the baton of Mr Alfred Walmsley, will assist the choir, who will take direction from the deputy conductor (Mr John IA, Haggitt),
