COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS
THE INDIAN CONFERENCE (British Officiaf Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, December 10. There was no meeting of the Indian Round Table Conference yesterday ox-to-day, but arrangements are provisionally made for a sitting early next week, probably on Tuesday, to take up one of the three main heads of the subjects that are still to bo considered. The conference is keeping well abreast of the programme mapped out in advance, and the business will probably be completed by December 20. In resorting to the committee method of dealing with the questions now under immediate examination the conference was guided by the fact that they are mainly questions, not of principle, but of adjustment. The Federal Finance Committee and the Anglo-Indian Education Committee have arranged for a further meeting on Monday, but so far no date has been fixed for the first meeting of the Financial Safeguards Committee.
