WEDDING
ASHWORTH—M'CULLOCH. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Strand Salon on Thursday evening, March 24, the Rev. Smith officiating at the ceremony, when Muriel, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. M’Culloch, Roslyn, was married to lan Archibald, second sou of Mr and Mrs A. Ashworth, Alexandra, The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ankle-length frock of white satin beaute, and a veil draped to form a train, which completed a very pretty ensemble. She carried a sheaf of auratum lilies. The bridesmaid, Miss Thelma M'Culloch (sister of the bride), looked charming in an ankle-length frock of pale pink georgette, with shoes to match. She carried a sheaf of pink roses and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Arthur Ashworth. After the ceremony the guests were received by Mrs H. M'Culloch, who wore a black and turfgreen ensemble, trimmed with ermine, and carried a posy of red dahlias and maidenhair fern. Later, tho happy couple left for Queenstown, where the honeymoon was to be spent, the bride wearing a blue ensemble, with hat and shoes to match.
