PHAR LAP HAS A WORK-OUT
SAN DIEGO, January 4. The Agua Caliento Club informed the Australian Press Association that it had received a cable message from the Cook Islands saying that Phar Lap was taken off the ship for a work-out, and will leave there on January 5, making the next stop at Tahiti for another work-out to keep him in condition. Mr Croi ton stated that ho had offered Phar Lap’s owners the use of Ida private ranch at Palm City, on the Now Mexican border, as a place to rest Phar Lap before he enters upon intensive training at Caliento.
