WINS FOR ROYAL DRUSUS AND OLIVE NELSON

The opening day of the Grcymouth Trotting Club’s Meeting was held m showery weather, and the track was exceptionally heavy. Olive Nelson’s victory showed her stamina, speed, and ability to negotiate the track. She had made up half her handicap in the first circuit, and in the final circuit at the back went into third position, taking charge in the straight, to win comfortably by 'two lengths. AVhite Satin, Duke Bingen, Ukulele Lady, and Boneta were leading the division most of the journey. The first three named were in front at various stages. DASH HANDICAP, 135sovs. 8)f.
