AMERICAN WOMAN'S ADMINISTRATION CRIMINAL PROSECUTION RECOMMENDED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, January 22. ft is reported from Albany that the most serious charges of malfeasance ever made against a woman since power to hold office was granted to women in America have been lodged against Mrs Florence Knapp, dean of the College of Home Economics at Syracuse University, and ex-Secretary of State for New York.
The commissioner who is investigating tho charges lecommends a criminal prosecution, alleging the illegal disbursement of US.OOOdoI and the waste of nearly 80,000dol in her administration of the census funds. The charges include nepotism and giving away State funds, which were ultimately traced back as in her possession.
