SLOTTED WINGS FITTED "? MACHINES FOR NAVY. LONDON, January 11. .. The Admiralty is replacing the prelent single-seater Blackburn “Dart” aeroplane with an improved type of torpedo-carrying ’plane namea the “ Blackburn Ripon. • It is a two-seater plane, and the situation of the cockpits enables the observer and machine-gunner, behind the pilot, to protect the ’plane from attacks. It is fitted with the new slotted lying anti-stalling device, and may be h'onverteij to a seaplane.
