RAVENSBOURNE BOATING CLUB

A special meeting of the Ravensbourne Boating Club was held at the conclusion of the regatta meeting. Mr H. E. Moller said that the club was pleased to accept the handsome silver cup presented by Mr C. G. Smith, trustee of the late Mrs H. Bowie’s estate. The Chairman said that the cup had been won by the late Mr Bowie at a regatta held at Greymouth in 1888. It was decided that the cup be competed for each year by club members, the committee to decide the class of race. Ft was decided to hold a concert for the purpose of raising the club’s quota towards the expense of sending Otago’s Sanders Cup crew to Stewart Island in February. Jt was decided to resail the races postponed from January 7 on Saturday, March 17.
