RAVENSBOURNE REGATTA

The annual meeting of the llavensbourrte Regatta Committee was held last evening in the boat shed. Mr H. E. Moller presided. The Chairman said that the principal object of the meeting was to decide the question of holding the usual regatta this year. He said that a regatta was to be held at St. Leonards on February 4, and as the committee controlling it had already commenced to canvass the West Harbor district, the Ravcnsbourne Committee would have to put all its energy into the business this year. He, however, saw- no reason why the regatta should not, be.held, as it had always proved a big attraction. The committee catered Tor the residents, visitors, and boating men. There was also the aspect that the Rowing Association intended to hold a regatta. He was of the "opinion that the residents would still give their support to the Ravensbonme .regatta. It was decided that the regatta be held on Saturday, March 3, as the lido was most suitable on that date.

The.following .officers were elected : Commodore,, Mr J. M. Fraser; vicecommodores —Messrs J. T. Paul, C. W. Sundstrum, G. A. Wiseman, W. 0. Marin, G. ,F. Bewley, H. E. Moller, G. E. Kellett, W. J. H- M'Cnlloch, W. Webber, and J. MTherson; secretary, Mr W. Webber; treasurer. Mb P. Youug. A committee consisting of forty-six members of the Boating Club and supporters -was appointed. Messrs A. Grant and A. D. Asher were appointed handicappcrs for yachts, and Mr A. Lindsay was'appointed hanclicapper for motor boats"; Messrs A. Grant, C. J. Hook, C. Boswell, and J. D. Cameron, staiters; Messrs A. D. Asher and E. A. Davys, judges; Messrs C. George and 0. Wilson, timekeepers: Messrs F. Mitchell, J. Baird, and E, Montgomery, Swimming Committee; Messrs A. Stewart, E. Montgomery. 1). Boreham, and W. Carline, Model Yacht Committee. Collectors were appointed to canvass the district.
