The screen version of James Oliver Curwood’s ‘ Steele of the Eoyal Mounted,’ will be shown at the Queen’s Theatre for the last time to-night. Bert Lytell, who is in the role of Steele, dashes through perils with a fascinating recklessness that sets the blood tingling. Playing opposite him is the lovely Charlotte Jlerriam, who makes an adorable

heroine. Stuart Holmes gives another of his memorable “villain” performances. Mabel Julienne Scott, who has emerged .from a long retirement, makes her return an event to be welcomed by picture-goers as a woman whoso love affair causes a lot of trouble. And Sydney Do Grey and John Tdughey, as a pair of colonels, complete the principals in an excellent cast. The picture was produced by David Smith for Vitagraph, and he has made a stirring, joyous photoplay of it. one of the season’s best. An excellent cast supports Richard Barthelmcss in ‘The White Black Sheep,’ the picture billed for to-morrow. Patsv Ruth Miller plavs a desejt dancer who rescues Dick from a terrific free-lor-all fight among tho Palestine tribesmen. William H. Tooker plays Colonel Kincairn. the father. Constance Howard is tho girl whom the hero saves from disgrace by shouldering the shame of her theft before his father and friends. The balance of the cast contains such prominent film nar s as Gino Corradq, Albert Frisco, Ervillo Alderson (who portrays a deaf and dumb beggar), Templar Saxe, Colonel G. L. M'Doncll, Sam Appel, and many others. Sidney Olcott, famous director of * Monsieur Reaucaire,’ ‘The Humming Bird,’ ‘ Tattle Old New York,’ and many other film epics, directed ‘ The White Black Sheep.'
