INTO THE GUTTER
“THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER.” LONDON, August 30. Four women and a man laid a wreath of red flowers on the grave of the Unknown Soldier in Paris. Subsequently, a policeman found that it was inscribed, “ From Germany’s youth to the Unknown Soldier,” whereupon the authorities ordered it to bo thrown into the gutter.
