Vienna is going through Hie novel experience of being ‘‘on Hie viator wagon.” Owing to tho brer boycott, which was threatened las! week, practically no restaurant or cafe in town has served beer as a protest against what the proprietors consider an unjustifiable increase in the price.

On Sunday night every cafe filled with crowds, drinking up Hie available supplies and preparing for the drought. Practically all the restaurants joined in the boycott, but tiie Owners’ Association board of a few saloons intending to break tho boycott, and immediately took measures to prevent this by paying the unemployed good wages to mount guard and drink cheap wine.
