TAXATION BURDENS
— CANADIAN AGITATION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright OTTAWA, March 12. Mr J. A. Robb (Minister of Finance) told a delegation representing the Retail Trade Bureau of Canada to day that the Government hoped to continue the income tax by a process of liaising the exemptions, particularly in favor of those who had served overseas. The delegation asked that' the present tax should ho abolished on the grounds that it “ is not. only confiscating the capital required to extend our industries, hut is frightening capital out of industry and preventing new investments.”—Reuter.
