(Received March 1.5, at 10,5 a.m.) After the withdrawal of the Swarajist members a resolution condemning the Government of India’s refusal to accelerate progress towards self-govern-ment was defeated in the Calcutta Assembly by 47 votes to 31, and under tho operation of the guillotine various grants were passed.—Sydney ‘Sun’ Cable.
