A Scottish' professor had returned from a long walk, and Ins feet were very sore. ITo wus told tlio best thins to do was to bathe them in hot water. This ho did. Then, in the ordinary course of events, he proceeded to dry his feet. He dried one foot, then without the slightest regard _as to what ho was doing put it hack in the basin. He then proceeded to dry the other foot, which he also rodipped m the basin. This went oif for some time. Then he began to got puzzled. “ Good gracious,’ ho muttered at last, “ 1 didn’t know. I had so many feet,”-
