MINISTRY'S IDEAL FIRST OF SIX CLUBS OPENED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, August 19. (Received August 20, at 10.35 a.m.) Sir Phillio Sassoon (Under Secretary for Air) opened the London Light Aeroplane Club at Edgcware, making the inaugural flight. This'is tho first of six clubs to bo established in England under the Air Ministry’s scheme. The membership of the London Club is limited to 100, and tho limit has already been reached. The members are drawn from all classes, and include six ladies. Sir Phillip Sassoon predicted that flying would soon be a popular sport, and should help the Ministry to attain the ideal of building up a nation of airmen. Twenty members to-day made halfhour flights.—Renter.
