His Excellency the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, is still _ indisposed, and in consequence his visit to Auckland, where he had arranged to lay the foundation stone of the, war memorial museum, has been postponed indefinitely. H.R.H. the Maharaj of Jharawar and party (including Colonel and Mrs Bonn), who have just completed a tour of the Cold Lakes district, loft by tho express this morning for Christchurch and Wellington. Tliey were seen off by the mayor (Mr H. L. Tnploy), tho mayoress, and other prominent citizens at the station. His Royal Highness and party leave by the lonic from Wellington for England. Mr P. A. Do la Perelle, M.P., passed through Dunedin this morning en route to' Wellington. Miss Frances Ogilvie, 8.A., of tho Canton Villages Mission, arrived in Wellington on Monday, July 20. A cablegram has been received advising that Rev. F. H. and Mrs Wilkinson and family, of the Canton A ilhmes Mission, are returning to New Zealand on furlough. The message was sent from Thursday Island yesterday, and it is understood that they are travelling by the R.s. Arafma, which is clue in Sidney about the end of the present month. New Grand Hotel guests are Mr A. Cook (Auckland), Messrs D. C. Blake, H. Vickerman, R. A. Moss, C. W. Salmori, and J. E. Schloss (Wellington), Mr H. J. Topliss (Inchbonnie), Mr F. Pearce (Wellington), Mr J. A. Reeve (Auckland). Air J. Al'Lauchlin (Melbourne), and Air and Airs C. Stewart (Hamilton). New guests booked at tlie City Motel are Dr’and Airs W. Foa (Gisborne), Air and Airs N. Scaifo (Glendhu), Captain Berkeley (Hyde), Air C. Cotton Miss L, l)nnn IChristchurch), Air W. Green (Invercargill), and Air K. Johnson (Auckland).
