SIR A. GRANT'S MUNIFICENT GIFT. Frees Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 3. In connection with the Prince of Wales’s visit to Edinburgh University, Sir Alexander Grant, of Messrs M’Vitie and Price, biscuit manufacturers, has given £50,000 towards the cost of laboratories. Ho has previously given the Scottish National Library £130,000, as well as a motor car to Mr Ramsay MacDonald. The Earl of Elgin welcomed the .Prince of Wales as Prince of Scotland. His , Royal Highness was admitted to membership of the Grand Lodge of Scotland in • the Freemasons’ Hall at Edinburgh.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
