More intense training is now being indulged in at Newton Abbot. THE WAR-CRY. SARCASTIC NEWSPAPER COMMENT. TEAM TRAINING MORE SERIOUSLY. Proas Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, September 16. Writing in the ‘Daily Maxi,’ Mr S. 8. Dean (manager of the All Blacks) says that he noticed the sarcastic newspaper comment regarding the war-cry, but the All Blacks had not even discussed the question of abandoning it. He declined to discuss a possible alteration in formation and tactics following the Devon match. To-day's training was more serious. Sides wore chosen, and Porter acted as referee and coach. The packing of the scrums was superior to that of Saturday, and the tackling was deadly.—Sydney ‘Sun’ Cable.
