CHURCH PARADE
FRIENDLY SOCIETY MEMBERS. On Sunday morning a very largely at fended church parade of Friendly Society members —’Druids, Protestant Alliance and Foresters’ Lodges in Green Islandheaded by tho Green Island Municipal Band, attended the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Mr Kilpatrick extended a very kindly welcome to tho visitors, dwelling shortly on the aims and objects of the societies' The services were commenced with the singing of the twenty-third Psalm, and the text was taken from fho fifteenth chapter of Luke, tho subject being tho ‘ Parable of the Prodigal Son,’ the salient points of which Mr Kilpatrick ably expounded, being listened to with attention from beginning to end. Before the disbandment at the Town Hall, Cr Christie made feeling reference to the death of a member of the Foresters’ Court. Cr Christie also welcomed the new lodge of Druids to tho district, and hoped that all would work in harmony.
