The New York ‘ Times’s ' Washington correspondent says that the British Embassy lias that it _ has instructed the Now York British Consulate to get into communication witn vessels of British registry lying off the three-mile limit with liquor cargoes which it is believed will be illicitly landed. While tho British Embassy would nor further comment upon the incident, it is understood that this action U being taken in connection with tho announcement by a British Minister in Parliament that England intended to co-operate with the United States to stop the smuggling of liquor into the United States.—A. and N.Z.
