(Received April 21, at 10.10 a.m.) A report via, Helsingfors states that the Central Committee of the Russian Communists and tho supremo tribunal, after a long conference, postponed tho -trial of Tikhon till the end of May. M. Tchitcherin, Commissary for Foreign Affairs, in insistently advocating the postponement, said that a sentence of the Patriarch would cause such anger in Europe that many States which hail opened commercial nr diplomatic relations with the Soviet would bo compelled to sever thorn, which would he perilous in view of Russia’s need of foreign capital.—A. and N.Z.
