Tho Royal Commission on Oxford and Cambridge Universities, which was appointed in 1919 to consider applications by tho universities, for financial assistance, has issued a report recommending that each university should receive, instead of the existing interim grant of £30,000, an annual grant of £IOO,OOO, with an additional £IO,OOO for special purposes, embracing women’s education ond extramural work, also a lump stun for pension arrears.—A. and N.Z.
