THE TIPTON EXPLOSION
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright,
LONDON, .March 24. (Received March 25, at 9.20 a.m.) Tho caso against Knowles and Chadwick in connection with the Tipton explosion is based on the ground that t'lie Home Office was not aware that Knowles was going to break up cartridges, for which operation ho had no permit. He had entirely neglected the provisions of tho ExoJceives Act.
As the first witness was called a woman in court screamed. She had just been informed that her daughter (a victim of the explosion) was dead.—A. and N.Z, Cable.
