WASHINGTON, March 24. (Received March 25, at 10.30 a.m.)
The Senate’s Finance Committee agreed on tho wool schedule in the Permanent Tariff Bill. The 35 per cent, ad valorem limitation was cancelled. Tho 25 per cent, clean contents rate was increased to thirty-three cents per lb. Wool which has advanced iu any manner or by any process of manufacture beyond washed or scoured condition, and is valued at not more than thirty cents per lb, is placed on tho tariff .'it twenty-one cents and twenty-fivo cents ad valorem. Wool valued at over thirty cents per ib is placed on the tariff at thirty-six cents specific and 25 per cent, ad valorem.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
