BUMS CLUB
The annual meeting of tho Dunedin Burns Club was held last evening. Mr Alex. M‘Lcod (president of the club) occupied the chair. There was a fair attendance of members. The annual report showed tho club to ho in a very healthy condition, both financially and otherwise. A net profit of £IOB 14s Id had been made on tho year’s work, chiefly through tho splendid success of tho Hallowe’en and anniversary concerts. In moving the adoption of tno report, Mr M'Lcod expressed his pleasure at the success of tho monthly meetings, giving credit to the secretary (Mr J. Paterson) for the high standard of tho concerts presented. He also mentioned the death of Mr Dugakl MThorson, a past president of tho club. Mr J. Wallace (vice-president) seconded the adoption of t!uy report, which was carried by acclamation. Tho election of office-bearers resulted as follows President, Mr Dugald Paterson; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Wallace and W. Nicolson; secretary, Mr Jas. Paterson; treasurer, Mr Alex. M'Millan; committee—Messrs D. Auld, W. Richardson, T. Gilchrist, W. Brown, N. M'Donald, J. Weir, R. MTvmlay, A. M'Loocl, R. Paterson. A hearty vote of thanks to the committee, the retiring president (Mr M’Leocl), the Press, and Mr Jns. Brown (bon. auditor) concluded the meeting.
