The following information has been cabled to tbo bead office, in Lonaon, oi tbo Waihi Gold Mining Company M. 12 level ■ On the Empire lode, south section from 670 ft. to 709 ft, the reef is 6it wide, and the value 20s 9d per lon. On the Martha, lode, oast of the Bath crossout, the valuo fjom 141 ft to 16aft 13 27s 9d per ton. In tho crosscut at 100 ft cast tho reef is 68ft wide, the value of the last 10ft being 24s 6d per ion. No. lo level ; In the north-west crosscut from No 4 shaft, there is “faulted” country from 166 ft to 197 ft. This contains a detached piece of quarts of low value. I rom 197 ft to 199 ft is auartr, value 6s 6d per ton; from 199 ft to 201 ft. mixture, value Is 9d per ton; and from 201 ft to 206 ft is iho Dreadnought lode, value 6s per ton. In the crosscut south-east from No. 4 shaft from 265 ft to 273 ft, is country rock / from 273 ft to 2741 ft mixture, value 1s Id per ten ; from 2741 ft to 279 ft, country rock; from 279 ft to 284 ft is quarto, value 12s 5d per ton; from 284 ft to 301 ft, country rock; and from 201 ft to 304 ft quartz, value 3s 7d per ten.

TJio Riflo and Shi no dredge worked a narrow cut last week ini order to roach deeper ground as soon as possible. Prospects improved a. little, some very tight wash having come in at different parts of the cut, and a number of large wash stones were met with. Bottom, of soft rod and white clay, with a littlo sandstone, wan got at an average depth of about 33ft. The gold a coarser nature than usual.
