On behalf of the Wellington Trade* Council, Mr Kennedy (president) asked the Arbitration Court for information anc directions in reference to tho 1922 Amend ment Act arid the powers of the courl to vary wage rates according to tho movo ment of the cost of living, Mr Justice Ftrazer said that tho courl had received notice of the (questions sub mitted, and members had discussed them. The court hoped to furnish the answers this week. Then, in order to give ample timo for consideration, the court proposed to fix a date, about April 26, to hear argu;?■!>?*'.,*i» ijJia jaoints raised.
