EVERYBODY’S THEATRE
Evans's latest success, 'A Home Wanted,’ is the main item on the new programme at Everybody’s Theatre. In tho opening scenes Madge acts as an iumuxe in an orphanage. Across tho way is a fine old mansion occupied by’ a peppery retired army ofiiosr. To her young "and imaginative mind the big house opens.up possibilities for future triendships and a happier life. She chums up with the major and takes him out in- his invalid chair. It gets out of control and runs down the hill, and the major is rescued by Dr Dick. The young doctor is himself an orphan, and knows nothing of his parents, but by a clever twist in the narrative, ib ■ major, while being tended back to health and strength after Ids unexpected snrinr down tho hill, reveals himself as" Ids grandfather. _ Then the doctor’s sweet - sties v-t comes hi to the story, and there is a delightful ending. A Patbe News, a Gaumont Graphic, and a further’episode of ‘ Tho Man of Might ’ are the supporting, objoete.
