At a meeting of the executive of the Waikato subprovincial district of the Farmers' Union, it was roEolved to take steps to join the Farmers' Political party. Keen dissatisfaction was expressed at the state of politics at present, and the necessity of fanners taking action to safeguard •their interests was emphasised. Politicians were described as vacillating and asleep, and objection was taken to the fixing of prices by the Government,, which was characterised a3 unsatisfactory. It was resolved to formulate a platform to submit to the next meeting.
