IPia Uxtted Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, March 12." The New Zealand Poultrymen's Conference opened this morning. There was a largo attendance of delegates, who were welcomed by the Mayor. Addresses were fiven by the Countess of Liverpool and Mr aitt, Dr Thacker, and Mr Witty, members of Parliament. The opinion was expressed by the parliamentarians that the importation of Asiatic eggs should be prohibited. Tho annual report referred to the work of the past yea.r, and the affiliation of the South and North Island associations.
